Robert (Bob) Robichaud, Director of Employment Access and Evaluation, has been with the agency since 1995. Mr. Robichaud grew up in Lawrence, Massachusetts and after graduating from both St. Johns Preparatory school and Clark University; he began his Human Service career in 1984 as a Counselor Advocate for the developmentally disabled in Worcester, Massachusetts. Although Bob enjoys many of his current responsibilities, his heart and main motivations continue to lie in the daily interactions he has with the consumers and staff throughout the agency.

Guy Gray, Director of Vocational Services, is enjoying his third career at Stepping Stones, following successful careers as a submariner in the Navy and then as a Postal Service Employee. Guy first worked with the developmentally disabled while serving in the Navy at the Great Lakes, Illinois Naval Hospital, where he coached several members on his Little League Baseball team. His wife, Sheryl, who had done some volunteer work during the summer of 1996, introduced him to Stepping Stones. After returning from his visit to the '96 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, he started work with us as a job coach at Castro Valley Safeway. From there, Guy took on increased responsibilities culminating in his current position. He particularly likes to see our consumers become successful and going on to being career employees.

During his down time, Guy enjoys reading (especially mysteries) and listening to music from his very extensive jazz collection. Guy is also known for his culinary proficiency amply demonstrated annually at our pancake breakfast, Thanksgiving dinner, and agency picnic!

Kidada Dobbins, Director of Independent Living, has been employed by the agency since 1998. While wearing two hats is nothing new at Stepping Stones, wearing them at the managerial level is; however, she is handling her assignments well. Originally from Jonesboro, Louisiana, she attended Grambling State University, where she majored in Psychology. After graduating in 1997, she worked briefly for the Department of Corrections, and shortly thereafter, relocated to the Bay Area in 1998. Kidada began working in a line staff position as a job coach, and as an assistant case manager before being promoted to the management team.  While Kidada enjoys her “me time”, she says that has now become “we time”, as in she enjoys her daily interactions and time spent with the consumers that “we” serve.back to top

Raised in rural Coventry, Connecticut, Artful Steps Director, Missy Brooks graduated in 1990 from S.U.N.Y Purchase, where she majored in art. Upon relocating to the Bay Area, she began working at Ala Costa in Berkeley as a teacher’s assistant before becoming employed by Stepping Stones. What first began as classes she offered to work activity participants once their work day had ended eventually became our Artful Steps program, with Missy as its first director—rightfully so, since she wrote the program design!

Natasha Fernandez ... Bio Coming Soon! back to top

Like most of the members of the management staff, Vanessa Little, Director of Prevocational Services, has worked her way up through the ranks in the Stepping Stones organization. Formerly our Case Management Assistant, Vanessa was active in managing our EBCC work training site for several years and also assisted Loren Jackson, Director of Intake and Assessment, in providing personal job tutoring services to newly hired group placement consumers and in running the "Hire" Steps pre-vocational training program and our "Stepping Out" mobility training service. Due to her energetic and determined management of her assigned duties, she is now officially acting in the capacity the above three programs and services.
