| Creative magic has been taking place in the front of our building. Our once brick facade is now being transformed into a beautiful mosaic mural thanks to the efforts of Artful Steps Teacher, Meadow Presley! |

Meadow's vision for the mural is coming to life week-to-week, as weather permits. The mosaic mural's theme is of a nature scene which fades from day-to-night and includes a variety of flora and fauna. |
| The ceramic "components"of the mural were hand-made my the artists in the Artful Steps Program, who are also assisting Meadow with the installation. This project began with a field trip to the Institute of Mosaic Art in Oakland during which the artists learned about the possibilities of this medium and the processes involved. |

This week Meadow installed the mosaic sun, created by artist, Michael Trujillo, as well as the sun rays which are made out of cut pieces of mirror. The mirror pieces were also used to create an intricate spider web as well. More to come... |
